When it comes to foliage, it’s hard to beat the incredibly hardy, low-maintenance, Huechera.
This low-growing plant grows to a height of 25cm — 40cm , with a spread of 25cm — 60cm, and can survive in areas of direct sunlight, partial shade, or full shade in well drained soil.
The delicate bell-shaped flowers are available in a rainbow of colours, which include:
Creme Brulee — a warm and rich blend of coppers, ambers and pinks
Georgia Peach — large peach leaves that boast a showy white overlay
Key Lime Pie — striking lemon/lime green variety of leaves that are perfect for contrasting darker varieties
Liquorice — a loose mound of black foliage with pale silvery mottling that looks magical at winter time
Huecherella Tapestry — eye-catching veiled foliage that blends shades of blue-green that change from season to season
With such variety and vigour, it’s easy to see why this pretty plant is the latest garden must-have, so why not make it the next addition to your own garden?
